After the success of i18n (internationalization) code sprints in Berlin and Montreal, the next one is coming to Zurich this week. This time the focus will be on administration interfaces and translation workflows for Drupal 7.
Most of the projects we build at Wunderkraut are at least bilingual. Dealing with all aspects of translation is part of our daily work, so it makes sense for us to participate again.
Personally, I will be leading the efforts focused on Entity Translation. If you haven't tried it yet, Entity Translation is a relatively new but awesome solution for content translation that takes advantage of the multilingual data storage of Drupal 7's Field API. Entity Translation has become our preferred translation mechanism, but the administration interfaces remain one of the pain points and I hope we will be able to smoothen the user experience for editors and translators.
