We’re rushing head-on into 2012 – perhaps it’s time to take a few seconds and look back to 2011. What a year! The last twelve months had been really exciting for us:
We founded Wunderkraut, transitioned to being entrepreneurs, and extended our select team of Drupal experts. We also expanded business from Germany into several other European countries and the US.
Wunderkraut helped our customers (including big marketing and web agencies, as well as European and American Drupal shops), with:
- Consulting
- Website audits
- Training and coaching Drupal developers
- Architecture and implementation of medium to big sized websites
Wunderkraut has been involved in some interesting joint endeavours for Drupal marketing and/or sales with Cocomore, ProPeople, and Acquia, whom we did three webinars with (among other things). And we became an Acquia Enterprise Partner (currently the only one in Germany).
We’ve been actively involved in the international Drupal community:
We attended, talked/contributed at and/or sponsored exciting events like DrupalCon Chicago, Drupal Business Day Helsinki, i18n Code Sprint Berlin, Drupal Design Camp Berlin, DrupalCon London, Commerce Camp Lucern, DrupalCity Berlin and DrupalCamp Stockholm. Wunderkraut contributed numerous patches and helped in issues, and created a number of interesting modules, among them Language Multidomain, Context Domain, StrongLeg, Features overview, Facet API Bonus and Search API Entity Translation (see our blog post).
Practically our whole team has started heavily working on and supporting DrupalCon Munich 2012 (as DrupalCon community representative, as a track chair for site-building, building the splash site, further participating in community based organization).
It’s been a great year. We learned a lot. We had the opportunity to create and assist others in doing great stuff with Drupal. And we’re lucky to be a small part of one of the greatest open source communities on earth. Thanks Drupal, and thank all of you whom we had the pleasure to work with: You’ve been amazing!
2012 will rock even more, with DrupalCon in Munich, the progression on Drupal 8, new challenges and new possibilities – this year will be the best to date, for Drupal and for the community as well as for our partners and customers!
